Are you Canadian? I'm US citizen, looking to get a visa to move to

I'm US citizen, looking to get a visa to move to Canada. Will my good credit contained by the USA be recognized in Canada, or will I own to start over? The reason I ask is b/c I used to work for a company and review credit, but in US, Canadians enjoy no history. I am wondering if this works the same if I move to Canada. Thanks for answering! I really need to know...

Answer:
In nonspecific NO, your US credit history doesn't apply in Canada, you will have to start fresh. It won't cart long, get yourself a prepaid Mastercard at a MoneyMart store or Capital One.ca, no credit check required. After 6 months, you will be able to apply for a regular credit card.

The merely exception is American Express. If you have a credit card with them and your devotion is in good standing. They will issue you a Canadian Amex card using the history they already enjoy on you.
My son lives in Canada with his wife explicitly a Canadian and he had to start over NO credit, you have apply for Canadian citizenship.
The 3 chief credit bureaus here in the US do not normally proffer services to foreign creditors (for foreign citizens).

That being said, there are foreign credit bureaus, one of which is run by Equifax (Equifax Canada).

You can request that your current creditors report to a foreign credit bureau so that your accounts are tabled on that credit profile. This may cost a nominal fee, but some may be willing to do it.

You may also want to contact a local financial/credit counselor surrounded by Canada. A directory is below. They can give you a better answer than I can.
