Anyone see "Maxed Out", the untried documentary that rips credit card companies apart? I'm told Dave Ramsey is in it. I've not see it. America

I'm told Dave Ramsey is in it. I've not see it. America has a markedly real debt problem so this movie interests me.

I agree that credit card companies are not to blame. People just inevitability to use them wisely.

Guys similar to Dave Ramsey want everyone to believe you are helpless against the advertising of credit card companies. I enjoy bought almost everything on credit cards since I was 20-years antediluvian. I just wage the balance contained by full every month.

I am now 47. Own my home free and clear. Have a LOT of retirement save up. Have no debt. And buy EVERYTHING from groceries to furnature to vacations on my credit card. I never clear any interest.

Dave Ramsey is correct roughly living below your means and not running up debt. But he is selling a nouns of crap with the credit cards and adjectives his "endorsed paid provider" crap. He's a great pitch-man.

Answers: Credit card companies are incompletely to blame. They have VERY shady practices. They will do everything they are rightfully able to do to extract every dollar out of you. That self said, people are idiots beside their credit cards. People in broad have no concept how to use them and get THEMSELVES surrounded by trouble. It is a 2 way street, it is only easier for people to blame the credit card companies instead of themselves.

America has a intensely real debt problem simply because most population refuse to live inside their means. This is not the mistake of the credit card companies.

Debt starts at the top- think the political affairs. Our national debt is so high that my splendid or great-grandchildren will be still paying for this mess.

Credit card companies, pay hours of daylight loan places, HELOC have great media hype and people aren't TAUGHT by their PARENTS to be responsible and own delayed gratification by SAVING. So people resembling Dave Ramsey, Crown Financial, etc make up the slack. I imagine Dave is great, I think Crown is great.

Credit card/loan companies are selling a product- debt (which comes near worry, indecision, etc). Dave Ramsey is selling a product - common sense, the adjectives, less stress, peace, responsibility, etc.

Credit card companies are to blame for giving out credit to individuals that have no money to pay it pay for. Just like remuneration day loan companies are to blame to the poorest of the poor contained by our society. Are they both legal, sure. Are they both moral, no. But both enjoy a lot of money to fine-tuning the norms of the society to believe they MUST hold credit to SURVIVE!! As for all of the individuals that say "they use the credit card for everything and money it off," polite for you but that is norm that didn't exist 30 years ago. Your parents and grandparents and great-grandparents would be appalled by the every sunshine use of credit.
