American Express? Anyone got an American Express card ? If so is it widely

Anyone got an American Express card ? If so is it widely agreed by major High Street shops and restaurants, supermarkets etc.surrounded by the UK. Just like Visa and Mastercard is ?

My American Express is not accepted even partly as often as I would resembling it to be. I would not bother!

Uh huh it is.. All store are different, most over here within my neck of the woods clutch mainly VS and MC.. Though oodles do take Amex..

They're not too impossible but the bottom line is, the others are much more probable to be accepted. And once Amex get hold of you on their books they don't seem to make out when you've closed an account beside them.

I don't hold one, but yes, it is widely accepted within UK stores

Most smaller shops don't accept AMEX as a standard card costs 2.5% to bar whereas an AMEX card costs about 4 or 5% i dream up but some larger shops do. I work in Harrods and occasionally we pass 10% off weekends to inhabitants who pay by AMEX

Answers: UK principal retailers and hotels yes, but lots and lots of places won't touch it - v.high transaction fees apparently?

I hold an Amex Corporate card which I'm meant other to use when on business, but need to resort to my personal Visa & Mastercard on a intensely regular basis.

I have an American Express credit card. Most big businesses adopt it. But small businesses like Chinese and Indian Restaurants don't. I don't enjoy an idea why they don't to be honest.
