After paying down a credit card, should I put an end to it to benefit my credit report?

I wouldnt. If you have no self control and will ring it up again consequently yes you should. However if you can use it on occasion and repay it off when the statement comes later do that. It will help your credit that course. Just remember to always recompense it off every month
No canceling cards Hurts your credit...just cut the card surrounded by half and confer on the balance at not anything

Answers:
Absolutely not! The more credit line you own available to you, the better your credit score, and other creditors are going to see that other places hold entrusted you with credit, and so, being more feasible to grant you near credit and higher credit lines! It is my counsel to never close a credit account and maintain them open so you can enjoy a longer credit history and that many more righteous points on your credit
Keeping the tale open and alive increases your revolving limits, which is used to add your capacity. Capacity= Balance/Limits.
Capacity accounts for 30% of your credit chalk up.
