About to go for Navy boot military camp, but enjoy desperate credit. How will this affect me? I got involved near a girl a couple of years ago and
I've already signed my contract for the Navy and will be disappearing for boot camp within July. I've researched and read that bad credit will affect my art in the military. I passed the shelter background check and received a pretty honest job set aside, Avionics Technician. What I'm worried about is will this bite me within the butt later on after boot military camp or worse during boot camp?
My Uncle who be in the service for approximately 24 years made the comment that "you don't want the military to find out you own bad credit." So immediately I'm worried. I notified the classifier, the guy who assigns job, about the fruitless debt and I was still offered the above duty. I'm just freaking out.
Thanks for your abet.
Hi! I was also surrounded by the Navy and actually hoping to re-enlist surrounded by the next couple of weeks. When I be in, I have bad credit, but continuosly worked on it. If you miss payments, the creditors will try to contact your command and it may be in motion as far as the CO. You really don't want your business out there. But as long as you preserve a good account of your payments, make them in good time and get them remunerated off, you shouldn't enjoy many problems. Let me stress that you have need of to keep a honourable record of your payments...approaching a paper trail. Just so if anything does come up, you'll hold proof of the actions you've be taking to clear this up. You'll need this for lately about everything you do contained by the military. ALWAYS have hardcopies. Having impossible credit can also affect the type of job you take, i.e., if you need a clearance or not. But you enjoy gotten Avionic Technician (AT), so you should be good to dance. Just stay on track...stay out of trouble. Good luck in boot military camp!
The certainty that you have be working to get yourself out of the problem for former times two years is in your favor. Just keep hold of up with your clearing arrangements, and you should have no fall-out.
The most probable way for this to incentive problems is if you don't keep up, and your creditors win in touch near your CO. Keep your nose verbs, and you should be ok.
Good luck. Thank you for your service commitment!
As long as your trying to pay your bills within will be no problem.
My ex-husband was surrounded by the Army and he had awful credit and he drug mine right down next to his. All they ever did was transport him to classes on money management. As long as you foot your bills you shouldn't have a problem. The military of late wants to get sure your are taking care of your responsibilities. It nouns like you are. Just maintain it up. WORRY! Your new profession will, I'm sure, require a security clearance. Part of retaining that clearance is to say your credit. If for some reason the Navy should discover your credit problems (they do verbs credit periodically) then they will research the situation and consider suspending your clearance until you can verbs up your act.
Seriously! It does arise. I work with nation who are in the forces every afternoon and their security clearances attain suspended because of debts they owe to my clients. If it is on your credit report, WORRY about it.
I would seriously disregard anyone else surrounded by the services (your buddies) who are ticking time bombs.
If you don't believe me, ask Google. -> http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&ct=res&cd... You'll be fine, especially if you are staying current now. If you started to crash down behind after going within, then you might own some trouble, but it's never a sure thing.
