It wouldn't make it better, as far as the evaluation goes, if you settle it all nifty or at once. The best way to build credit is near jewelry. Don't listen to what they collections agents say, it's their chore to intimidate you.

Answers:    Paying rotten credit card balances can sometimes boost a evaluation more than 10 points. However, if a bill was sent to the wrong address (and it wasn't your fault) afterwards you can dispute that with the credit bureau so that it won't impact your chalk up.
