1 year of credit history and maximum credit card credit check possible? Hi, I have a credit history for a year and have

Hi, I have a credit history for a year and have 3 credit cards beside a combined credit limit of 5000. I have no harmonize due on my cards. However when i applied for a BOA worldpoints mastercard i was approved for a card with a credit cut-off date of just 1500.
So, that set me wondering. Whats the typical credit limit i can expect beside one year of good credit history.

Answers:    Credit limits are base on many factors, including income, your credit rack up which in itself is partially base on the length of your credit history, and even redlining effects, such as where you live.

I suggest $1,500 is a good starting amount. Perhaps, after a year of good standing beside this card, you can apply for a limit increase.

EDIT to respond about the personality who posted immediately below me:

There is no such thing as have too much credit. Creditors only are cautious nearly lending people even more credit who hold a lot of it if they have exceedingly low credit scores and have not be responsible with credit.
The more credit cards you go and get, the worse you're can make it for yourself. Creditors will also look at the potential debt you can acchieve. i.e. if 3 cards have a 5000 restrict, and now you have an optional 1500 limit - if you go hogwild, you could conceivably become 6500 surrounded by debt overnight. There is a debt to income ratio that is factored into the equation. There's no set credit goal for a certain amount of credit history.

It is based on your credit chalk up - which is based on how well you made payments prompt, how often you use the cards, if you have ever be late with payments, etc.

Your credit check is also based on your current income and general narrative history. After having the cards for a while, you can ask for a credit limit increase.
It seems you are obsess over credit limits. Why? Is it your intention to charge up to or beyond the limits? A $1500 limit is pretty obedient for a one year history. The longer your history, the larger the limit.

You may want to hold off on applying for any more cards. 4 core credit cards should be plenty. You need to use each one occassionally and salary it off in full to preserve the accounts active.
I can't say to much more than Anonymous, he/she is correct. All of this is determined besides a few other things when granting credit, and respectively credit card company/credit granter is different. Check into getting your limits increased on your present credit cards, and make sure you don't preserve on applying for credit cards, it could look potentially bad to the credit card company. They also look at the limits on your other credit cards, and since your combined issue is $5,000.00, this might be also what they are basing it on. So, work on getting those existing credit card companys to up your limits. All you enjoy to do is call them and ask when are you do for a credit limit increase, and they will notify you. Good luck, you are doing just fine, and well on your route to better scores and higher credit restraint. Just keep on being responsible.
